Peel and chop the onion, trim the peppers and cut into sticks. Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Add the onion and allow to soften. When soft, add the peppers and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Adjust the seasoning, add the cream and complete the cooking over a low heat. Bring a pan of salted water to the boil and cook the Nonna Rina tagliatelle al dente. When almost cooked, drain and mix with the sweet pepper sauce. Add a grind of pepper, garnish with the fresh basil and a drizzle of oil.
